We think a healthy smile is more than just straightening teeth. For children its also about helping develop their jaws correctly which is why its so important to have your child checked whilst they are growing, usually around 7 to 9 years of age. That way we can help prevent issues in children that can cause real problems when they become adults. Often we use a combination of growth appliances and braces to get an ideal result in children and hopefully minimise the need for removing teeth where possible.
